Brutal Tuckerman Ravine wipeout.
Brutal Tuckerman Ravine wipeout.

MOUNT WASHINGTON, New Hampshire – Tuckerman Ravine is a place of legends for East Coast skiers. It’s a pilgrimage for the skiers of New England, we’ve all heard of it, and we all know the dangers it holds. A fall in the ravine can be devastating, sometimes deadly, so being overly brave is not recommended. This guy decided to jump off one of the ice fall cliffs at Tucks, hurling his body towards the ground and failing to land properly. It might be the loudest wipeout I’ve ever seen on video, you can hear his fall echoing throughout the area. But somehow, unbelievably, after eating nearly harder than anyone I’ve ever seen, and tomahawking a good distance down the mountain, he stands up and raises his arm in triumph. Insane wipeout, insane recovery.

You can hear the crowd below go from amped, to shocked, to horrified, to amped once again. It’s very clear what everyone is thinking when he hits the ground: “this guy has got to be seriously hurt”. Fortunately he doesn’t seem to be, and was able to walk around after the impressive wipeout.

If you’re going to hit Tucks, please make sure you’re prepared and skilled enough to do such a run. This guy managed to survive, but several people have died in the area in the past.
