The most difficult, or most dangerous, ski run in North America will always be up to the individual rating, so it’s always interesting to see how people place them. Uncovering Skiing took a look at several ski runs in an attempt to rank the top 10 most difficult and the list is certainly something. It’s up to you to decide whether or not you agree, but there are certainly some runs that could easily be included, yet didn’t find their way on the list.
Uncovering Skiing’s list is as follows:
10. Mad River Glen – Paradise
9. Snowbird – Great Scott
8. Crystal Mountain Resort – Brain Damage
7. Sunshine Village – Delirium Dive
6. Breckenridge – Lake Chutes
5. Alyeska – Christmas Chute
4. Jackson Hole – Corbet’s Couloir
3. Telluride – Senior’s Run
2. Palisades Tahoe – Eagle’s Nest
1. Crested Butte – Rambo
Again, the list is certainly up to the individual. For example, S&S Couloir at Jackson Hole is much more intimidating than it’s next door neighbor, Corbet’s Couloir. Of course, Corbet’s is much more famous and actually marked on the Jackson Hole trail map. There are plenty of resorts as well that have trails that could contend with runs on here, like Arapahoe Basin’s Steep Gullies. But there is no one true answer.
