Skiing Corbet's Couloir.

What makes a ski trail hard can differ between people, but the most iconic difficult inbound ski runs in the United States stand out on their own. YouTube channel mountainsight released their rankings of the 7 hardest ski runs in North America, though they don’t actually mention a single run in Canada, so I’m going to call it the 7 hardest ski runs in the United States.

There list, in no particular order, is as follows:

  • Rambo, Crested Butte, CO
  • Paradise, Mad River Glenn, VT
  • Paranoid 4, Mammoth Mountain, CA
  • Pipeline Couloir, Snowbird, UT
  • Tuckerman’s Ravine, Mount Washington, NH
  • Corbet’s Couloir, Jackson Hole, WY
  • The Fingers, Squaw Valley, CA

Again, the most difficult ski runs in the United States will always be a contentious and fairly personal list, so you are 100% free to disagree with this list. Especially when Canada is fully left out of this list. I really feel like there are several Canadian ski runs that are more difficult than some of the runs above.
