Where do chairlift parts go when they need a repair? You can’t just hire a general technician, you need an expert. So you send them back to the maker, of course! Well, sort of. For LEITNER lift grips, you send them to their Grip Revision services, where the grips will get a new life.
The LEITNER Grip revision service comes in 6 steps. Planning, exchange of wear parts, restoration surface protection, repair of detected defects, lubrication, and report & certification. Planning asks that plenty of time is given for lead up, disassembly, delivery, and re-assembly. From there, it’s in the hands of the company.
Wear parts like split pin bushings, bolts, wheels, springs, and others that might be worn are replaced, some no matter if their visibly warn or not. Then, surface protection (paint, metallization, electrolytic zinc plating, etc) is restored, and any unexpected defects are reported to the customer to set up an action plan. Once any repairs are complete, the grip is reassembled and lubricated, and geometric tests and functional checks ensure that the grip is working as intended. Finally, detailed reports are completed on the geometric data and force of each grip, and a final assessment and the Non Destructive Test (NDT) are completed.
