Hand Caught in ski binding

You always hear of bindings injuring people in the failing to release or releasing too early sense, not usually the clipping into a person’s hand sense.

Someone got their thumb stuck in what appears to be a Pivot binding heal piece, leading to a pretty violent-looking injury. For those who get queasy, don’t look at the pictures, they’ll definitely make you sick. I can just tell you what you’ll see instead. The picture, shared to Instagram by savageparamedics, shows a person’s thumb is caved in right below the nail, looking pretty bloodied up and messed up. I’d have to imagine that it’s severely broken, but I’m not a doctor, so maybe it’s just bent out of shape.
