Shoutout to Redditor Undergroundtulip who pointed out that this Lege dude at Jackson Hole that writes up their daily snow reports goes above and beyond the call of duty. Instead of delivering pertinent information as dry stats, Lege uses language like “Whipped by gusty winds the big-mountain Etch-A-Sketch has fully shaken, leaving clean panels of pow that are yours for the taking.” Incredible.
Here’s todays report with the beautiful turn of phrase “tomorrow the tempest returns to refresh your powder pleasure”…this dude rules:
6 AM- After 11 straight days of fresh snowfall on Rendezvous Mountain, we take a Tuesday break before dipping back into the powder flow. Morning cloud cover will diminish a bit as the day rolls on, allowing for full illumination of the alpine situation. A chilly inversion will be in control to start the day so go high early to avoid the coldest air. Highs will eventually top out near 10 degrees at Corbet’s Cabin and in the upper teens in Teton Village. Gusty North-West winds will add to the bite, blowing in the neighborhood of 10-30 mph. Come out and enjoy the lull in the weather, because tomorrow the tempest returns to refresh your powder pleasure. Â -Lege
Keep it up Lege. We love it!
