The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says a high-profile sexual predator was arrested Tuesday night. CBS reports he has been identified as Glenn Braden, 20, of Evergreen.
The arrest happened after the suspect exposed himself to two separate and solo female hikers at Stapleton Park near the Beaver Brook Trail Tuesday evening.
Deputies responded to the scene when a hiker dialed 911 after encountered the man along the trail who exposed himself and began masturbating. A few minutes later he confronted another lone female hiker and exposed himself. Braden reportedly tried to grab one of the victims before they got away.
After a 2.5 hour search, the man was found hiding in the woods. The suspect tried to run away but was taken into custody. He was wearing the same clothing as identified as both victims.
Braden has been booked on multiple counts of indecent exposure and unlawful sexual contact. Investigators are currently working on finding more victims connected to this case.
Investigators believe Braden is the same person wanted in a series of similar encounters with female hikers along Colorado trials. The incidents began on April 3rd at Flying J Ranch Park in Conifer. Over the next few weeks, the suspect struck again on June 13th at Three Sisters/Alderfer Park, and on July 11th, three times on July 18th and July 24th at Flying J Ranch Park.
Investigators say they are not releasing a mugshot just yet because they plan to do a photo lineup with some of the victims. If you have any additional information in regards to these cases or any others, please reach out to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office @ 618-244-8004.
