What began as a normal Sunday morning for Val-Saint-Come became a tragic day for the Quebec ski resort. CTV News reports that at around 9:30 a.m., a six-year-old girl suffered severe injuries while riding their t-bar lift, which resulted in her death.

A police and internal investigation is currently underway at the ski resort, but it is not believed that it was caused by a mechanical issue. Val-Saint-Come released the following statement:
