“Mother Nature, you win this round.” –Wachusett Mountain
Wachusett Mountain in Massachusetts has restored power after going dark Monday due to a recent storm. WCVB reports the resort lost power Monday evening and the outage lasted until after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Although the lifts weren’t running for most of Tuesday, a news helicopter did a flyover and found a small number of diehard skiers and snowboarders hiking up to enjoy the empty slopes. Glad to see Wachusett got their juice back and a tip of the cap to those folks who decided to hoof it and earn their turns:
A power outage means no lifts at Wachusett Mountain. But skiers and snowboarders are HIKING up the slopes to enjoy the fresh snow.
Power expected back later today. #wcvb pic.twitter.com/FVFUPWRNhc— Sera Congi (@seracongi) January 24, 2023
