“After this incident happened I instantly unstrapped from my board and ran up to see if he was ok. Other than a mark on his helmet and being pretty shook, he was perfectly fine.”

Glad this skier who took a direct hit to the noggin was okay after getting clipped by an incoming snowboarder at Snow Summit Ski Resort in California. Couple takeaways here folks…don’t dawdle around in landing zones (you can say what you will about right aways but skiing defensively in terrain parks is just common sense), do your best to make sure landing are clear before taking off jumps (bit of a grey area when it comes to blind takeoffs but just do your best) and always always wear a helmet. If the skier wasn’t wearing a bucket, this collision could have been tragic.

Check the damage to the skiers helmet, not hard to imagine this would have been far worse if not for head protection. Buy a helmet, wear it, nuff said:
