WATCH: What Happens When You Open The Window at -76°F

Yakutia (also known as Yakutsk), Russia is considered the the coldest city on earth. The average annual temperature is 16.2°F, and temperatures regularly reach well below 0°F in the dead of winter.

Cyclist Lorenzo Barone has been documenting his time in Yakutia on his popular YouTube channel for months. He has some pretty interesting videos of him cycling in subzero temps, and camping in the Siberian wilderness.

The video is a little mundane, but I thought it was crazy to see how the extremely cold air immediately turns his breath into a thick cloud of vapor. I also have to wonder how good the insulation in those homes in Yakutia have to be to withstand those temps.

Feels like your heating bill would be through the roof… 😂
