Hintertux Glacier (Austria) is one of a handful of ski resorts that operates all year thanks to glacial snowpack.
The resort was closed for a period of time this summer due to abnormally warm temperatures, but it has reopened thanks to cool weather and even some fresh snowfall.
Hintertux picked up 4-6 inches on Monday, September 26th, and the pictures look absolutely beautiful.

Looks pretty nice up there, right?
Just seeing some fresh-laid corduroy on a snowy slope has me feeling all types of ways, and the fresh fluffy snow on top of it… sheesh!
I hope all of our Austrian readers are having a great time skiing fresh September snow in the high-alpine. I’m totally not jealous. Not at all.
