Clueless Tourist Kicked By Wild Horse, Cited For Wildlife Harassment

A tourist to Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina is paying the price for her arrogance.

The woman, seen in the photo below, reportedly posed with and pet a wild horse at the park. She was then promptly kicked by the horse, and later cited by the park for wildlife harassment.

That’s what I call karma.

Cape Lookout National Seashore: “Thank you to everyone who is watching out for the safety of the horses and visitors on Shackleford Banks. These visitors were cited BY PHOTO for wildlife harassment. The horse communicated its annoyance (see the photo) and kicked the woman.”

The wild horses at Cape Lookout Seashore are thought to be descendants of mustangs aboard a Spanish ship that crashed on the island in the 1500s.

The horses are protected by the park, and park rules state: “It’s illegal to feed, touch, tease, frighten, or intentionally disturb wildlife,”

It turns out that idiots travel places not named Yellowstone National Park. I’m so used to seeing videos about people getting charged by bison or run over by elk that it’s almost shocking to see such debauchery happen on the east coast.

But, alas, I’m not surprised. This is America, and America is filled with stupid, stupid people.
