How is it that so many people don’t know how to act when they visit our country’s incredible National Parks? It’s mind-blowing.

The people in the video below thought it was okay to feed a wild elk in Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado), and according to the video’s description, a child’s finger was bit as a result.

@vicschendel: “And we wonder why animals hurt people in the National Parks. Just a moments after taking this video, the cow elk bit off the end of a young boy’s finger as he was feeding it. Vic schendel.com”

I can’t find any information to substantiate the claim that a kid had his finger bitten off by this elk, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised.

Spread the word to all of your uneducated friends, family, and coworkers-

DO NOT APPROACH, PET, OR FEED ANY WILD ANIMAL WITHIN ANY US NATIONAL PARK, OR ANYWHERE FOR THAT MATTER. IF YOU DO, MATT LORELLI OF UNOFFICIAL NETWORKS WILL PUT YOU ON BLAST AND MAKE FUN OF YOU ON THE INTERNET.
