Search and rescue (SAR) responders are the type of people you never want to meet while they’re on the job. Generally it means either you’re screwed or someone you know is screwed, and they’ve been called in to hopefully change that.
This video from Helly Hansen gives us a great look into the life and work of two SAR responders: Nathalie White of Squamish Search and Rescue and Odd Herald of Norwegian People’s Aid. Being a SAR responder is a tough job, one that I’m certainly not cut out for. I personally believe these individuals deserve all the respect and praise we can give them.
