Yellowstone National Park must be incredible to visit in the winter.

Most of the park is shut down due to roads, but the fact that it’s not littered with thousands of insane tourists would make it my while.

I’ll have to start planning that trip for next year…

Anyways, the video below shows two male bison sparring on a snow covered road on the way to the Snow Lodge at Old Faithful.

Tour guide John Clark captured the video from a safe distance and told Newsweek, “This would rate up there as one of my best experiences because I was by myself.”

I can see why. Watching two bison duke it out would be awesome to watch. Get the popcorn!

Male bison typically fight during the rut season between June and September to compete for females. It’s unusual to see a winter fight such as this one, but Clark speculates that it could just be two young males testing their strength.

He told Newsweek that the bison sparred for 5-10 minutes with the winner eventually pushing the loser off the road.
