Need further proof that dogs are man’s best friend? Look no further than this story out of New England.
The New Hampshire State Police responded to a call of a loose dog on I-89 along the New Hampshire-Vermont border on the night of January 3rd. The troopers approached the dog, but she kept running away. The troopers continued to follow her until they reached a section of the road with a damaged guardrail in Vermont.
They looked down and saw a severely damaged pickup truck that had roller over. Both of the occupants of the pickup had been ejected and were suffering from hypothermia.

Tinsley flagging down officers
One of the occupants of the vehicle turned out to be the dog’s owner, and police learned that her name is Tinsley. She had led police right to the scene of the accident, and saved her owner’s life. The two men were taken to a nearby hospital, and are okay after the accident.
What an incredible story, huh?
I love my dog as much as the next person, but I honestly don’t know if he would do what Tinsley did if a similar situation occurred. I sure hope that he would, but I don’t think there are many dogs that have the intelligence to seek and lead help back to the scene of an accident.
I hope Tinsley gets all the treats she wants. What a good girl!
