Big news for those of you looking to avoid renting a car and saving a little bit of money on your next trip to Telluride. The Colorado Department of Transportation has expanded its Bustang bus service to include a daily route between Grand Junction and Telluride.

This gives Telluride visitors another viable option when visiting. They can fly into Grand Junction (presumably cheaper than flying into Telluride), and catch the bus into town without needing to spend money on a rental car.

Here are the full details from Bustang:

“We are excited to announce our new service connecting the Grand Junction Regional Airport to Telluride starting on Monday, September 27, 2021 – a vital connection from southwest Colorado to Grand Junction. This route supports the existing Durango-Grand Junction line, but will offer four stops in Grand Junction, allowing passengers more time to complete their essential needs. Alpine Express, currently operating the Gunnison to Denver route, will also be operating this route.”
