Bousquet Mountain in Pittsfield, Massachusetts has been transformed since Mill Town Investment Group bought the property in May 2020. First came a triple chairlift last season, and they went even bigger this offseason. WWLP.com spoke with the resort this week about the latest changes and upgrades. The big addition is the replacement of their base lodge with a 15,000 square foot gem. The new lodge “will host gatherings, events, food, a full bar, and outdoor deck and patio space. There is an expanded parking area and heated walkways. “ Their snow tubing park, Snow Town, has been expanded from four to eight lanes, features longer runs, and now includes “cabanas, fire pits, holiday lights, and picnic tables.”

The full range of their improvements include:

  • A brand-new base lodge
  • Improved snowmaking (Forty-two fan guns with an additional forty-five acres of coverage)
  • New trails (“Grand is 20 feet wider, lift towers are padded, and new lighting is going up.”)
  • Additional terrain park features
  • A new line of Snowsports lessons and programs
  • Full season racing.

During the 2020-21 ski season, Bousquet added a new triple chairlift that originally serviced the Hermitage Club in Vermont. The triple originally opened at the Hermitage Club/Haystack in 1985 but didn’t operate until February due to an aligning mistake with the lift towers. When it opened in February, it provided the mountain with top to bottom skiing.
