It’s not exactly clear where these videos were taken, but the general consensus based on the comments section is that these videos are of a massive coal seam fire in China that has been burning for months.
The flames spewing out of the cracks of the mountain look like the fiery gates of hell are getting ready to open and swallow the surrounding landscape. I’m not sure how this person is walking so close to the flames, I’d be downright terrified!
Coal seam fires are an unfortunate consequence of careless coal mining. One spark can set a whole seam ablaze that can burn for literally hundreds of years.
The result is a loss of the coal mine, but at least you get some spectacularly terrifying videos of flames shooting out from mountains, I guess?
