I’m not going to pretend like I know anything about trains, but I have to wonder how in the hell the train’s conductor knows when something like this happens?
Do modern trains have sensors or some kind of tech that alerts them when a car decouples? I guess that would make the most sense, but I can’t get the picture of an old-timey train conductor operating an engine with bells and whistles instead of high-tech computers.
I’m definitely naïve on this subject, but I still thought it was really cool that this guy captured this moment with a drone and a stationery camera. Trains are cool. Excuse me while I do some research on modern trains for the next hour or so.
