Well… consider my mind blown.

I’m not blown away by the science of how ice storms occur, though that is pretty neat, but more so by this augmented reality technology used by The Weather Channel to explain it. It’s borderline witchcraft, but I’m here for it.

The resolution of the images around the weatherman aren’t fantastic, but the way he seamlessly blends into the surrounding landscape while explaining the dangers of ice storms is nothing short of incredible.

My mind is racing with the possibilities this type of tech could be applied to. Most importantly, how long until we get a legit skiing/snowboarding simulator that uses AR of this quality?

I’ll be first in line to purchase once that does happen…
