You gotta hand it to the tiny dogs around the world. They’re pretty harmless lap dogs, but they have balls of steel when it comes to confronting other animals. I’ve seen tiny Cockapoos stand up to Great Danes at the park, but I can’t say I’ve seen a Bichon Frise chase down a brown bear… until now. 😆
I really want to know if that bear would have been scared off if the dog had kept chasing him. I have a feeling he probably would have ran away because of the multiple humans in the area, but you just never know.
I’m not saying you should go out and get a Bichon Frise to be a guard dog, but this little guy definitely has some spunk.
Occurred on August 2020 / Anchorage, Alaska, USA: “My daughter and I were on a walk. We live in an area called bear valley in Anchorage, Alaska. My daughter Hazel was very worried about seeing a bear, so we turned around to go back home and saw this massive boar grizzly bear. My little Bichon Frise named Ruger went after him barking but luckily came back after I screamed no!”
