Apparently west Texas is the only region in the country that got more rain that average, and a small oasis of sorts has formed in the middle of the desert.

Locals from El Paso, and surrounding regions, are enjoying beach days in the middle of the desert on a turquoise lake surrounded by mountains, and what the hell are we doing? Why aren’t we there, RIGHT NOW.

Watch the video, pack your bags, (and I can’t believe I’m saying this), we’re going to Texas.

*Please don’t actually flock to this randomly beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert. It will just make people pissed and there’s no reason to ruin a good thing. Just watch the video and pretend like you’re there. That’s all the internet is good for anyways.*

From Brenden Mincheff, KHOU 11: History will tell you the lake bed dried up some 10,000 years ago and never significantly filled up since. At least until this summer, when heavy rains filled it back up to a little more than a foot.”
