“Our mission is to keep riders on top of the greatest snow on earth rather than buried beneath that. Last year’s season had underwhelming snowfall and overwhelming tragedy.” –Craig Gordon

Cheers to the good folks at the Utah Avalanche Center who remind us of the importance of avalanche awareness year-round. UAC provides daily avalanche conditions reports throughout the winter and avalanche safety education opportunities to help backcountry enthusiasts make better informed decisions while traveling in the high country.

They are hosting the 28th Annual Backcountry Benefit Presented by Black Diamond tonight but unfortunately online tickets are sold out (limited $45 tickets available at the door at 6 PM).  If you’re unable attend the event, you can still enjoy virtually and participate in the silent auction. Just perused the silent auction, there’s some killer art, ski experiences and gear available. All proceeds from the event go to UAC. VIEW ITEMS HERE:

Here’s a handful of items that are up for bid. Chances are there’s something you’d want and the money benefits a worthy cause. To see many many more GO HERE: GO HERE FOR MORE
