Quick look into winter preparations up Mount Hood as Mt. Hood Meadows and Timberline Lodge are already gearing up for the winter season. FOX12 reports both resorts’ season passes are currently available for purchase and they both plan to operate similar to how they did during the 2020/2021 season.

Masks will be required indoors, in lift lines and anywhere else outdoors where people may not be able to socially distance. They also know things can change quickly and both ski areas said they are prepared for whatever the pandemic or mother nature throws at them whether it be La Nina weather patterns or tightening COVID restrictions.

Both areas have made improvements ahead of opening day. Notably, Timberline is expanding its terrain and opening a new run called Summit Pass. Skiers and boarders can ride from the top of Palmer all the way down to Government Camp (vertical drop 4,540ft, the biggest in the U.S.).
