When you think of lava flows you generally conjure images of a molten rock moving at snail’s pace, something you easily could out run or even out walk. Such was no the case when this stream of lava in Iceland met a steep descent, gained momentum and behaved more like a raging avalanche.  Luckily no one was below at the time or the would have been toast. Gnarly.
