“We are celebrating our national parks with a donation for each Apple Pay purchase at an Apple Store, on apple.com, or through the Apple Store app in the U.S. from August 23-29.”
Apple will donate to the National Park Foundation when users check out between August 23-29 with Apple Pay in the United States. Apple Magazine reports the company confirmed on the homepage of its US website that all purchases made through the Apple Store using Apple Pay would see Apple donate to the foundation, and there’s a new dedicated Apple Watch Challenge on schedule to help alert users to the promo.
“Let’s take a day to appreciate the beauty of national parks all over the world. On August 28, earn this award by recording a hike, walk, run, or wheelchair workout of a mile (1.6 km) or more with any app that adds workouts to Health.”
For the first 100,000 transactions over $10, Apple will donate to the foundation (exact percentage of purchases donated unspecified). In 2020, Apple donated $1,000,000 to the National Park Foundation. Good on Apple for supporting our National Parks.
