22-year-old Minnesota native killed in avalanche while skiing in N.M. – Twin Cities
Corey Borg-Massanari

I’m a sucker for social media posts from ski resorts introducing their new avalanche rescue puppies. I’m a dog lover, and I just can’t avoid sharing the news everytime I see it. Especially this story.

Taos Ski Valley just posted this morning to introduce their newest avalanche rescue pup named Finn. Finn looks like the goodest of boys and I’m sure he’ll be an excellent addition to the Taos Ski Patrol team.

Finn was purchased using a grant from the Corey Borg-Massanari Foundation. Corey tragically lost his life in an avalanche at Taos back in 2019. The foundation was created by his family to raise money for safety gear/training at schools, non profits, and ski resorts. They also raise money to place avalanche rescue dogs at resorts across North America.
