Canada is set to reopen its borders to fully-vaccinated American citizens on August 9th, according to multiple international news agencies.

The move to reopen the border comes 16 months after Canada decided to close its borders to all international travel to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 back in March of 2020.

Americans must show proof of being fully-vaccinated with the Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and/or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in order to visit Canada.

Does this mean Americans will be able to travel to Canada for this ski season? God, I sure hope so! As long as the pandemic continues to wind down (I’m looking at you Delta variant), we should be able to enjoy the slopes of the Great White North…

I’m sure the destination ski resorts will be happy to welcome American guests back after, what I assume was probably, a below average year for skiing and lodging revenue.

Make the most of your American dollars and start planning your trip to Canada for this season. I bet lodging and flights are going to start filling up fast!

I have my eyes set for my first ski trip in Canada. Where should the Unofficial Networks team go?
