A Salt Lake City man was stalked by a cougar on the Broads Fork Trail in Big Cottonwood Canyon yesterday, and managed to capture the terrifying encounter with his phone.
Notice how the hiker backed away slowly, maintained eye contact, raised his voice, spoke firmly, and didn’t run.
Following these tips probably prevented the cougar from attacking, and potentially saved his life.
