Ever wondered what it takes for crews to assemble or disassemble a chairlift using a helicopter?

Well, Josh Foust of Mountain Works, Inc. documented the removal of a chairlift tower at Okemo Mountain Resort using a hand-dandy first-person camera for your viewing pleasure.

This is some quality behind-the-scenes footage of the crew removing a tower of the Vermont Quantum Four lift at Okemo just last week.

The quad is being replaced with a brand-new Leitner-Poma six pack this summer, according to Lift Blog.

I’ve never seen anything like this before!

The tower was pre-rigged and this video shows hooking up the cross arm, removing the remaining nuts and flying it away then hooking up the tower tube, removing the nuts from the base and sending it off with the helicopter.
