An avalanche at a ski resort in Russia buried twelve people, injuring four, killing one with three people still missing. According to local reports, the slide was triggered by ski resort staff as part of avalanche mitigation work.

The powerful avalanche buried two ski equipment rental spots and damaged a café.

A shocking video shows the moment the side hit in which you can see an adult running as they carry a child on skis.

The ski resort is located in Russia’s Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia in the North Caucasus. Dombay sits at 5,350-feet on Mount Mussa-Achitara.
