Five skiers, including two World Cup season champions, crashed into the same area of fencing at a women DH event in Val d’Isere, France, on Friday. The culprit was one particularly squirrely jump midcourse. Austrian Nicole Schmidhofer got the worst of it and unfortunately tore her left ACL and LCL. Absolutely nasty day on course for some of the world’s fastest women.
