The U.S. Department of the Interior stripped protections provided by the Endangered Species Act for gray wolves across most of the country on 10/29/20. The administration is leaving protections up to individual states and tribes.

Removing federal protections for gray wolves could lead to the resumption of recreational wolf hunting in the western Great Lakes region.

The move comes after a flurry of policy changes made by the Trump administration in swing states.

Looks like ol’ Donny Boy is trying to snatch up every vote he can in the Midwest. I’m sure the policy will anger more people than it pleases, but I guess we’ll see.
