An excellent little film about raising awareness to protect the largest unfenced area in the continental United States. The Red Desert is a high altitude desert and sagebrush steppe located in south-central Wyoming, comprising approximately 9,320 square miles. If you’ve ever driven through Wyoming on I-80, you’ve actually been through it. In the face of encroaching development encouraged by the oil and gas lobby, several Wyoming conservation groups have banded together to organize a trail race that brings runners, local stakeholders and concerned citizens together to experience this unique landscape and see exactly what is at stake.
