“Inline skating has been a great way to cross-train for skiing for years. Many of us here at Rollerblade are also lifelong skiers. We challenged ourselves to take what has always been an informal way for us to maintain ski-ready fitness, and transform it into a training program that truly mirrors the movements and skills used in skiing.”
Rollerblade is deadly serious with this ski crosstraining platform they’ve created and it’s absolutely fantastic. I’ve long believed that Rollerblading is a sleeping giant, waiting for a new generation of tastemakers to decide its cool again and now might be the time. If you’re feeling stagnant with all the resorts closed, check this video, peruse the website, and price out a new set of skates. HELL YEAH!
“Rollerblade® has joined forces with US Ski & Snowboard®, the Professional Ski Instructors of America®, and the National Ski Patrol® to develop a world class off-season cross-training program. Listen to Olympian, elite ski coach, and ripping skater Doug Lewis describe how the program works.”
