A scary moment during the 2015 Freeride World Tour in Kappl, Austria when Julien Lopez was caught in an avalanche as he climbed to fetch his ski. Julien crashed and ejected from his skis during his run requiring him to hike back to up to retrieve it. As he made his way uphill the slide was triggered. the slide was a big one, measuring 50 cm deep by 40 meters wide and 100 meters long.
Thankfully Julien was wearing an airbag, which allowed him to stay on top of the slide and only suffer minor injuries. Footage of the avalanche starts at 1:46.
