Yellow Line: 62 Mile Journey

As reported by WISN 12, two teens from Wisconsin water skied across Lake Michigan this past weekend. The trip was roughly 62 miles and took 2.5 hours to complete. The teens decided the trip would be a memorable way for them to say goodbye as they separate for college in the coming days.

Okay… what?! I literally water ski for five minutes and feel like my spine is going to collapse into a heap and sink into the water below me… 2.5 hours of non-stop water skiing, just let that sink in. Imagine sitting through an entire Paul McCartney show (that’s 40 songs folks), but no wait, you’re actually water skiing that whole time. Then add on that you’re crossing Lake Michigan?! That lake is practically an ocean. How did that conversation even go?

Friend #1: “I’m going to miss you so much when you leave for college.”

Friend #2: “Aw, me too!”

Friend #1: “Wanna non-stop water ski across one of the largest lakes in the world for close to three hours?”

Friend #2: “Yes! I was just thinking that would be the perfect way for us to say goodbye!”

But in all seriousness, major props to these two kids. I’m pretty jealous of their water skiing prowess.
