The Canadian Press is reporting that snowboarder Max Parrot is set to return to competition this August after facing a cancer scare.

“The Olympic silver medalist in slopestyle in 2018 and five-time X Games champion was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma on Dec. 21, 2018.”

Parrot just received the “all clear” after his most recent scans came up negative. Parrrot underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy between November of last year and June of this year. He said:

“Of course I was confident, but I was definitely for sure nervous because I was getting really tired of the treatments and I really, really wishing everything was good and I could move on.”

Parrot is back to training in preparation for X Games Oslo. He is sure to be a crowd-favorite after his battle with lymphoma. Check out the video below to see what this guy is capable of. I’m certainly rooting for him.
