Following up on that 9-year-old girl from Odessa, Florida who was injured after being thrown by bison in Yellowstone National Park on Monday. CNN reports the girl was part of a group of about 50 people near Observation Point Trail in the park’s Old Faithful Geyser area.
The group was about 5 to 10 feet away from the bison a minimum of 20 minutes before a bull turned on them and charged. The little girl was taken to a clinic for treatment and was later released. 
The incident is still under investigation. No citations have been issued as of yet. Yellowstone officials warn visitors to stay at least 25 yards (75 feet) away from all large animals including its 4,527 bison. A male bull weighs up to 2,000 pounds and can run up to 30 miles per hour.
