Mammoth Mountain announced it will finally be closing down ski operations for the summer on Sunday, July 28th. KTLA reports Mammoth anticipated staying open until August after recording the snowiest May in the resort’s history but recent heat has sped up snow melt and the resort had to move the closing date up to July.
It was a hell of season out at Mammoth with 260 days of operation and 718 inches of snow recorded at the summit. For all you skiers and snowboarders bumming the mountain is closing take a chill pill. The 2019/2020 season is set to begin on Nov. 9…enjoy your 104 days off.
