From Loch Ness in Scotland to Champ in Vermont’s Lake Champlain to Tahoe Tessie it seems that just about every mountain town with a lake has their own lake creature legend. In British Columbia, Canada that creature is known as a Ogopogo.

The legend of Ogopogo’s has only grown as recent footage of an unknown object was caught on tape moveing through the water in Okanagan Lake in Kaleden, BC. Jim La Rocque, the man who captured the footage, believes he saw a giant monster swimming across the lake with at least seven fins paddling in sync. He estimates it was at least 120 feet long.
