While this may have been on the smaller side of avalanches, the slide path would have swept anyone who lost their footing directly into an exposed patch of boulders which could have resulted in serious injury. Springtime backcountry skiers and snowboarders need to ever vigilant of avalanche dangers and proceed with caution:
