Come experience the national parks during National Park Week! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone this Saturday April 20, 2019. Parks across the country will host a variety of special programs and events to celebrate.
Just remember, parks like Yellowstone and Yosemite don’t belong to the states they reside and are in fact under the jurisdiction of the federal government. Therefore pot smoking is strictly prohibited.
And as hightimes.com points out, “the federal government still considers marijuana an illegal Schedule I substance on par with heroin and ecstasy, bringing it with you inside a national park would put you on the wrong side of the law.”
So go and enjoy our National assets, but if your gonna be smoking weed and your living within a state that allows recreational pot smoking do it outside the park.
