Ski The Whites has shed some light on the tragic events that unfolded yesterday on Mount Washington, New Hampshire. In a Facebook post the publication shared the location of the slide and photos of the crown.
Tragic day on Mount Washington. There was a fatal avalanche in Raymond’s Cataract, a usually quiet zone that has been getting a fair amount of skier traffic in the last few weeks. Many of us get away with close calls at some point and it’s reminders like this of the added risk of skiing alone. Condolences to the friends and family. – Ski The Whites
Avalanche conditions at the time were moderate.
