A woman was pulled to safety just moments before a roof avalanche gave way, smashing parked cars with a huge amount of force. This is a good demonstration of the power that roof avalanches can pack. Earlier this season a man was killed in Crested Butte South, CO when he and another man were struck by a roof avalanche while clearing snow.
