Loveland Ski Area, CO is enjoying it’s best start to a ski season since the resort opened 81 years ago.
The 81″ of snow that has already fallen on the Colorado ski area beats its previous record of 80 inches by this date, set in 1995 and is nearly double it’s average of 44″ for this time of year.
Additionally, below normal temperatures have allowed snowmakers to blow snow 24/7. All the fluffy white has allowed Loveland to open 18 trails open, including some expert terrain that is rarely open this time of year.
