The snow is flying in the Big and Little Cottonwood canyons. Over a foot of new snow is blanketing the ski areas around Salt Lake City, UT. 

“Another round of winter weather will return to the mountains of northern and central Utah for tonight through Wednesday, Accumulations up to elevations around 7500 feet will generally see between 1 and 3 inches. Above 7500 feet snow totals will climb into the 5-10 inch range with up to 12 inches at the highest elevations of the Wasatch and western Uinta mountain ranges.” – NWS Salt Lake City

* WHERE…Wasatch Mountains I-80 North, Wasatch Mountains South
of I-80, Western Uinta Mountains and Wasatch Plateau/Book
Cliffs.

* WHEN…Through 9 AM MDT today.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Be
prepared for reduced visibilities at times. Many high
elevation seasonal roads remain open including the Mirror Lake
Highway. Winter driving conditions can be expected on all high
elevation roadways.
