VF Corporation, the conglomerate that owns a number of outdoor brands including The North Face and Smartwool, made a big splash last month when they announced the company was moving to downtown Denver.

VF Corp promised to bring high-paying jobs to the rapidly growing Mile High City and that more details were forthcoming. In an announcement today, the company named the building it intends to occupy as the 10-floor, 285,000 square-foot building at 1551 Wewatta Street in Denver’s Lower Downtown (LoDo) district. The lease was signed for a 12-year period.

VF Corporation stated that it will occupy the entire building, allowing it to expand the number of employees housed there from the 800 to 1,200 before the building reaches capacity. The brands that will share the headquarters are The North Face, JanSport, Smartwool, Eagle Creek and Altra.

“We are excited that Denver’s vibrant Lower Downtown district will serve as the new home for VF and five of our Outdoor brands,” said Steve Rendle, Chairman, President and CEO in a press release posted to VF Corp’s site. “Our extensive search process led us to review multiple options across the Metro Denver area, and the combination of LoDo and the building at 1551 Wewatta came together to meet all of our criteria. It’s the ideal setting for us to create a dynamic, collaborative working environment where our business, brands and employees can thrive.”

The company’s statement also noted the building currently maintains a LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, reflecting a commitment to sustainability. VF Corp will begin renovating its new LoDo headquarters in 2019 and aim for completion in 2020.
